Just as we started to get excited about the upcoming SlumVillage release, another Detroit talent leaves the world too soon. Baatin was reportedly excited about being involved in the project and SV just wrapped the video for the single “Cloud Nine.” It’s sad that he won’t be here to celebrate but I’m sure he and Dilla will be smiling in Heaven.

“Fuck this rap shit, I listen to Classical”. A never forgotten verse by Baatin, what crazy year 2009 has been.
